KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has informed that efforts were on for the leftist polarization in the country.

Addressing to the first central committee meeting of a student organization affiliated to his party in Kathmandu on Friday, Chairman Nepal argued political polarization was imperative at present to resolve multiple problems plaguing national economy, society and politics. He also asserted that public trust was growing in communist parties in Nepal.

Also the former prime minister, Chairman Nepal reiterated that unification among the leftist forces committed to people is essential for country’s development and right direction. Unity among communist parties is therefore significant, he underlined.

According to him, good governance, employment and public service delivery are prerequisites to institutionalize change in Nepal.

On a different note, he said he was targeted as part of political conspiracy and a case filed by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) over the Cabinet decision taken 12 years back on Patanjali land swap.

He, however, believed that he would be ensured justice from court. The Chairman further said he had not taken bribe in his life.
