SUNSARI: A harmony rally was held in Duhabi, Sunsari, on Tuesday, with participants calling for peace and social harmony amid tensions following a deadly clash in the district.

The rally was organized by various social organizations after violence erupted between two groups in Kaptanganj, Dewanganj Rural Municipality-3, on Sunday night. Om Prakash Mehta, 24, was killed after police opened fire while trying to bring the situation under control, while several others were injured and are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Biratnagar.

Organizers said the rally aimed to promote peace, unity, and harmony as demonstrations continue in parts of the district following the incident.
