CHITWAN: A large boulder fell onto an Indian car along the Muglin-Narayangadh road section on Sunday afternoon, causing serious injuries to three passengers.

The incident occurred around 2:30 PM when a white car bearing Indian number plate UP 80 GP 2928 from Uttar Pradesh was hit by a rock that had dislodged from the cliff above.

The boulder struck the car while it was moving along the highway, damaging the sunroof and smashing directly onto the back seats, where three passengers were seated.

Out of the five people on board, the three sitting in the rear were severely injured. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The car was significantly damaged by the impact of the large rock.
