KAVRE: A woman lost her life and two others were injured in a motorcycle accident involving a family of three in Kavre district.

The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ba 62 Pa 6610), heading from Baguwa in Kushadevi, Panauti Municipality-3, towards the Ashapuri Temple, went out of control and veered off the road.

According to the District Police Office, Kavre, the motorcycle plunged approximately six meters, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Sujana Khatri of Panauti-5.

Her husband, 32-year-old Bijay Thapa, and their five-year-old son, Biance Thapa, sustained injuries in the crash.

Sujana, who was critically injured, was rushed to Scheer Memorial Hospital but was declared dead during treatment. Her body has been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for postmortem.

Police have confirmed that the condition of the injured father and son is stable and not life-threatening.
