KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has stated that the entire country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds.

The monsoon low-pressure line is situated slightly north of its average position.

According to the division, most parts of the country are presently experiencing general cloudiness.

Light to moderate rainfall is occurring at a few places in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces.

During the afternoon, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many areas of all provinces.

Additionally, one or two places in the Terai regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces may experience heavy rainfall.

Similarly, tonight, the weather will continue to be generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in many places of the Terai regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in some hilly areas.

Heavy rainfall is also likely in one or two places in the Terai regions of Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two hilly areas of Bagmati Province.

The division has urged the general public and all concerned authorities to stay updated with the latest weather information and remain alert, as monsoon activity is expected to intensify further across the country, including Madhes Province, in the coming days.

The division has requested necessary precautions in the Terai regions of Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall.
