TANAHUN: Seven people were injured in a bus accident on the Muglin-Pokhara section of the Prithvi Highway.

The accident occurred at around 4:20 PM on Sunday when a bus bearing registration number Ba 2 Kha 1077, traveling from Gorkha to Narayangadh in Chitwan, crashed near Aina Paharaa in Ward No. 2 of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality, Tanahun.

Ashok Thapa, Information Officer at the District Police Office Tanahun, confirmed that the bus fell near the bank of the Marshyangdi River.

Following reports from local residents about the accident, rescue teams from the Area Police Office Aanbukhaireni and the Armed Police Force Disaster Management Training Center in Kurintar were deployed to the site.

The seven injured passengers have been admitted to Aanbukhaireni Hospital for treatment.

Detailed information regarding the accident is yet to be released, according to Police Spokesperson Thapa.
