BAJURA: A 52-year-old pilgrim, Biplav Ojha from Gokarneshwor Municipality-5, Kathmandu, died after falling from a cliff while returning from Badimalika to Nateshwari in Bajura district.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Iqbal Hawari, Ojha, the son of former Education Minister Devi Prasad Ojha, fell about 700 meters down into a gorge and was found dead at the site.

The incident occurred near Bisnepani around 7 PM on Thursday evening. Due to the late hour and continuous rainfall, rescuers were unable to recover the body immediately.

Although plans were made to deploy a Nepal Army helicopter for the rescue, bad weather conditions prevented the operation.
