NAWALPARASI: The Butwal–Narayanghat road section has been blocked once again.

The obstruction has occurred at Daunne in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality–2 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) under the East-West Highway.

According to the District Police Office, vehicles have become stuck near the Paisatthi mod section of Daunne due to muddy and slippery road conditions caused by continuous rainfall.

The road section, which has faced recurring blockages since Monday morning, was briefly operational but has now been shut down again as of Friday morning.

Even light rain has made it difficult for vehicles to pass through, with trucks frequently getting stuck on the uphill road. The slippery conditions have particularly affected east-to-west-bound traffic.

The police informed that repair work is underway to reopen the road. The area near Bishwakarma Temple in Binayi Tribeni–2 has experienced repeated obstructions.

Due to hill cutting work during the ongoing road expansion project on the Butwal–Narayanghat section, this area is prone to blockages even during light rainfall.
