KATHMANDU: The United Stated Embassy in Kathmandu marked the Haritalika Teej festival with a celebration featuring traditional music, dance, and cultural exchange.

The event, attended by U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson, saw embassy staff performing to traditional Teej songs, adding to the festive spirit.

Sharing photos on its official Facebook page, the embassy extended warm greetings to Nepalis, writing: “On behalf of the U.S. Embassy, Happy Haritalika Teej!”

In Nepal, women traditionally observe Teej with fasting, prayers, and cultural festivities, celebrating faith, resilience, and community ties.
