KATHMANDU:The Kathmandu–Mugling road section along the Prithvi Highway has reopened in both directions after a landslide at Satkilo in Thakre Rural Municipality, Dhading, was cleared.

The landslide that struck at around 3:30 a.m. had blocked traffic, but the road was reopened for two-way movement at around 7:50 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Despite the clearance, heavy traffic congestion persists as hundreds of vehicles were stranded overnight due to repeated road closures caused by continuous landslides.
