BEIJING: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, in a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, proposed Nepal’s membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
President Xi responded positively, pledging China’s continued support for Nepal’s development and prosperity.
Oli urged speedy implementation of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects and sought Chinese cooperation in fertilizer supply, petroleum exploration, human resource development, and climate resilience.
