KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has stated that the monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently located further south than the average position.

According to the Division, light to moderate rainfall is occurring in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as in isolated locations of Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces.

For this afternoon, the weather will generally remain cloudy across the country. Moderate rainfall is expected in some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and other hilly regions, along with a few areas of the Tarai in remaining provinces.

Similarly, tonight the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, and partly cloudy elsewhere.

The Division forecasts a likelihood of moderate rain in some hilly areas and a few Tarai locations.
