LUMBINIThe Rupandehi District Administration Office has extended the curfew order imposed in the district.

The curfew order issued from 8:30 pm on Tuesday has been re-imposed from 9:00 am today. Chief District Officer Dr Tokraj Pandey has stated that the curfew has been extended in view of the situation that may arise due to demonstrations, processions, mob riots and clashes, and thereby to maintain law and order.

As per the decision of the District Security Committee, a curfew order has been re-imposed throughout Rupandehi district till 7:00 pm today as per Section 6 ‘A’ of the Local Administration Act, 2028, the notice by CDO Pandey states.

Earlier, the curfew order was relaxed for two hours from 7:00 am to 9:00 am today. After the administration issued the curfew order, the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force have mobilized to maintain security in the district.
