KATHMANDU: British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn paid a courtesy call on Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, today.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Energy, Ambassador Fenn congratulated the newly appointed minister and wished him a successful tenure.

According to the ministry, discussions covered strengthening Nepal–UK friendship and cooperation, continued British support in the energy sector, investment prospects in infrastructure, and necessary collaboration on measures to mitigate problems caused by climate change.

Minister Ghising, on his part, briefed the ambassador on the key priorities of the government formed after the Gen-Z protests.

He underlined that reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, holding of general elections, and ensuring good governance were the government’s main agenda.

The UK has long supported Nepal through various projects in energy and infrastructure, and today’s meeting is expected to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
