KATHMANDU: According to the Department of Meteorology, the monsoon influence has weakened across the country, while local winds remain active.

Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Heavy rainfall is likely in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. This afternoon, most hilly regions will remain generally cloudy with chances of thunderstorms and moderate rain in parts of Lumbini and Karnali as well.

Tonight, weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hills and generally clear elsewhere.

The Department has urged caution in hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati due to the possibility of heavy rainfall.
