KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has said that monsoon activity across the country remains weak, with partial influence of local winds.

According to the division, the hilly areas are generally cloudy while the rest of the country is partly cloudy.

Light to moderate rainfall is currently occurring in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

For this afternoon, the division forecasts generally cloudy weather in the hilly areas and partly cloudy conditions elsewhere.

Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as at one or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of other provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Similarly, tonight the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly regions including Koshi and Madhes provinces, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

Moderate rainfall is expected in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with one or two places in the rest of the country.
