KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has reported that monsoon winds and local air currents are currently influencing weather conditions across the country.

According to the division, the weather will remain generally cloudy throughout the day. Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, at some places in Madhesh Province, and at a few locations in the hilly and Terai areas of the remaining provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, tonight the weather will remain generally cloudy. Moderate rainfall is forecast for the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, at some places in Madhesh Province, and at a few locations in the hilly and Terai areas of the remaining provinces.

The division has also indicated the possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
