KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for verbally abusing and misbehaving with officers on road safety duty in Kathmandu.

The Kathmandu District Police Range identified the suspect as Newang Tamang from Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality-5, Sindhuli.

He was taken into custody from Buddhanagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10. Tamang is accused of using offensive language and acting inappropriately towards police personnel while they were performing their duties.

A video of the incident circulated on social media, prompting authorities to act. Police have confirmed that further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
