KATHMANDU: Following continuous heavy rainfall, vehicles entering Kathmandu via the BP Highway and those leaving the valley have been temporarily stopped.

Based on road conditions and instructions from security personnel, vehicles exiting the valley are being held at Kavre Bhanjyang, while those coming into Kathmandu via the BP Highway from outside the valley are being stopped at Mangaltar.

In areas like Bhakundebesi, Dhulikhel, and Banepa, heavy rainfall has prompted security personnel to halt vehicles at safe locations considering the risks.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport stated that once the rain eases, vehicles will be allowed to proceed depending on road conditions.
