KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned that heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder is expected in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces in the next few hours.

The department’s recently updated bulletin indicates that these three provinces are likely to be the most affected by the rainfall.

Currently, most parts of the country are experiencing rain. Considering the risks posed by continuous rainfall, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has suspended long-distance vehicle movement for three days.

Similarly, vehicle movement entering and leaving the Kathmandu Valley has also been halted.
