KATHMANDU: After the Dashain holiday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) opened on Tuesday with a decline of 58.55 points, and Wednesday also saw a significant drop.
On Wednesday, NEPSE recorded a turnover of Rs 5.76 billion, falling by 45.36 points to reach 2,559.59 points.
Among the companies traded on Wednesday, share prices of 232 companies fell, while 18 companies saw their share prices rise.
Shares of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Company remained stable.
In Wednesday’s trading, sellers of Shangrila Development Bank Debenture earned the highest profit, while sellers of Prabhu Insurance shares incurred the highest loss.
Along with the NEPSE index falling, all sub-indices also remained negative on Wednesday.
