KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has prohibited the youth wing affiliated with the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) from holding a motorcycle rally and assembly.

The Youth Union had planned to organize the rally in Kathmandu on Saturday, starting from Tinkune.

Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Paudel issued a notice stating that rallies, processions, sit-ins, assemblies, and demonstrations by various groups could pose security challenges and complicate efforts to ensure public safety.

The office has decided not to grant permission for such programs and urged that no events be conducted without prior approval.
