KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress Central Committee meeting is set to reconvene on Thursday afternoon at 1 PM at the party’s central office in Sanepa.

The meeting, which began on Tuesday, will continue its discussions today. Before the Central Committee meeting, the party’s Executive Committee will meet Thursday morning to finalize the agenda, according to the party’s central secretariat.

The meeting comes after Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba handed over the role of acting party president to Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka.

Today’s session will be chaired by Khadka. Just a day earlier, leader Gururaj Ghimire and others submitted signatures demanding a special general convention.

The issue is expected to draw significant attention in today’s meeting.
