KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Toshima Karki has expressed objections to the recent expansion of the party secretariat.
The party appointed Sobita Gautam, Ganesh Parajuli, Shishir Khanal, and Hari Dhakal as new secretariat members, prompting Karki to call for party reform.
In a letter to founder-president Rabi Lamichhane on Sunday, Karki outlined a four-point proposal, emphasizing the need to review, reassess, and restructure the party’s leadership, principles, and policies.
She said this is the right time to build a moderate political force that meets current expectations.
Karki also urged the party to initiate immediate reform processes and engage with other political parties, thought groups, and independent individuals to institutionalize changes aligned with the aspirations of the Gen Z movement, fostering a center-left political alternative.
