Seven injured in ambulance-mini truck collision on Prithvi Highway

DAMAULI: Seven people were injured this morning when an ambulance and a mini truck collided at Manahari in Myagde Rural Municipality-6 of Tanahun district, along the Prithvi Highway.

The accident occurred when a mini truck (GA 1 KHA 5659) heading towards Damauli from Pokhara and an ambulance (LU PRA 01-001 JHA 0046) traveling in the opposite direction crashed into each other.

According to Police Inspector Deepak Kumar Karki of the District Police Office, Tanahun, the injured include six passengers from the ambulance and the driver of the mini truck.

One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.

The injured individuals from the ambulance have been identified as the driver, 24-year-old Kushal Pariyar; 61-year-old Junrakhi Budha Magar; 25-year-old Anjana Budha Magar; three-year-old Yuvan Budha Magar; and 60-year-old Dhan Prasad Budha Magar, all residents of Thabang Rural Municipality-2, Rolpa.

Additionally, 36-year-old Chijamaya Gharti from Bhume Rural Municipality-7, Rukum Purba, was also injured.

Police Inspector Karki informed that the condition of 25-year-old Anjana Budha Magar is critical.

The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the GP Koirala Respiratory Treatment Center in Belchautara, Tanahun.
