KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has instructed coordination for enhanced security, citing growing concerns in the private sector following the protests of September 8 and 9.

On Thursday, the minister issued a circular to Chief District Officers (CDOs) of all 77 districts with this directive.

Minister Aryal directed the CDOs to hold necessary discussions and make security preparations in response to the damages caused by the demonstrations and the situation of the private sector.

The instruction was sent through the Peace, Security, and Crime Control Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The letter also instructed that district-level meetings be held under the coordination of the District Security Committee, including participation from local chambers of commerce and other business organizations, to arrange necessary measures.
