BHOJPUR: Two people were killed on the spot when a tractor met with an accident at Dubes, Shadananda Municipality–4 of northern Bhojpur on Saturday.

According to police, the tractor (Province 1–02–003 Ta 1213), which was transporting timber from Chamladang to Dingla, went out of control and plunged about 30 meters off the road.

Among the six people aboard, two died instantly, while four others were injured. The injured have been taken to Dingla Municipal Hospital for treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Aita Bahadur Tamang of Kerabari, Shadananda–4, who was the driver, and Nabin Tamang of Charambi, Arun Rural Municipality–4.

Both died on the spot after being crushed by the tractor.The injured are 19-year-old Dachhiri Sherpa, 22-year-old Ambar Bahadur Tamang, 18-year-old Sagar Tamang, and 18-year-old Sunita Tamang, all from Shadananda Municipality.

They are currently receiving treatment at Dingla Municipal Hospital.Police said preparations are underway to take the bodies for postmortem as part of the legal process, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
