The program, aimed at disability prevention and rehabilitation across all 137 municipalities of Koshi Province, was inaugurated by Rewati Raman Bhandari, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Koshi Province.

The initiative, conducted in collaboration with The Hand Project, provides free prosthetic hand fitting, installation, and training for persons with disabilities.

Technical teams from Germany, New Zealand, and Uganda will handle measurement, fitting, and training sessions.
Under this special campaign, 204 individuals across 13 districts of Koshi Province will receive lightweight, functional, and cosmetic prosthetic hands free of charge.

During the inauguration, some beneficiaries from the first group received their prosthetic hands.

He also reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to disability rights, prevention, and rehabilitation.
Attendees included representatives from local governments, Karuna Nepal, the National Disability Federation, beneficiary families, media personnel, and international experts.
