Police arrested a youth in possession of a single-barrel muzzleloader gun in Tupche in Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot district on Tuesday evening. 

The arrestee has been identified as Birman Tamang (27) of Tupche in Bidur-7.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of security personnel deployed from Nuwakot District Police Office and Deurali-based police post raided the residence of Tamang and confiscated the loaded gun yesterday.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
