KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court will resume full operations from November 17, 2025.

Following the arson incident during the Gen Z protest on September 9, the court had been providing only partial services.

In a full meeting held on Thursday, the Supreme Court decided to resume regular proceedings for all pending cases and services that were disrupted due to incidents of arson, stone-pelting, vandalism, and looting.

“The cases that were spared from destruction and whose hearing dates were pending will be heard as scheduled from November 17, 2025,” the court notice stated.

“Other cases that have not yet been scheduled will be processed and heard according to the law. This notice is issued to inform the concerned parties and stakeholders.”

The meeting also decided that all types of cases and petitions—including original cases, appeals, retrial requests, and review petitions—will now be registered and heard, restoring normal court services.
