KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has sought details regarding the land and its utilisation under the names of community schools and learning centres
The Ministry is going to collect, through the Center for Education and Human Resource Development, details from across the country about the land registered in the names of community schools and learning centres, the land use status, and the kind of problems related to the land.
Minister of Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun stated that he has instructed the Center to collect details of the land belonging to schools and learning centres as information has been received from the districts about the encroachment upon and misappropriation of land of schools and learning centres.
Currently, out of the total 35,447 schools across the country, 73 percent are community schools.
