Police in Morang district on Thursday night recovered almost 14kg of cannabis from Lawaghat in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-18.

After seeing the security personnel deployed from the Budhnagar-based Area Police Office, unknown persons on a motorcycle with an undisclosed vehicle registration number threw the sack with the cannabis and fled on the motorcycle. Police recovered the cannabis packed in the sack.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
