KASKI: Private airlines have suspended Pokhara-Jomsom flights for the winter season due to declining tourist numbers, adverse weather, and the risk of snowfall.

Summit Air and Tara Air halted regular services, according to Jomsom Civil Aviation Office. However, charter flights and emergency helicopter services will continue.

Tara Air has suspended flights from December 24 to March 1, while Summit Air has paused operations for two months.

Winter winds often ground flights to Mustang, while the improved Beni-Jomsom-Korala road has shifted passenger traffic to land transport.
