BHOJPUR: A nonagenarian man built water taps at a school in Bhojpur Municipality of Bhojpur district.
Ujir Bahadur Pradhan, 98, helped construct a water supply facility in Saraswoti Basic School in Bhojpur in memory of his wife Rupchhimi Pradhan.
Pradhan constructed five water taps and a water tank with a capacity of 5,000 litres at the school by investing Rs 200,000.
Pradhan handed over the properties to the school headmaster, Sharan Kumar Rai. Pradhan shared that he initiated the construction of the water supply at the school, stating that access to safe drinking water is the students’ right.
Former chairman of the school management committee Gopal Karki and Ujir Bahadur Pradhan inaugurated the water supply facility.
Likewise, students of the school were provided with Nepali Dhaka Topi from the cash assistance of Rs 20,000 donated by the school’s former student Dr Binod Parajuli, school headmaster Rai shared.
