BAGMATI: More than 2,000 people have applied for the election police in Makwanpur district. Total 2,266 persons applied for the temporary security persons focused on upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati informed that although the district police had planned to recruit 1,923 election police persons, the District Police Office received 2,266 applications- 1,602 by men and 664 by women.

Meanwhile two offices for the election officers have been established in the district.
