MAHENDRANAGAR: Former Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has resigned from his position as a member of the Provincial Assembly.
Singh submitted his resignation letter to Provincial Assembly Speaker Ram Ashish Yadav at the Madhesh Provincial Assembly Office in Janakpurdham. In the resignation letter presented to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, he stated that he was stepping down from his post in accordance with Article 180 (a) of the Constitution of Nepal 2015 and Rule 184 (1) of the Provincial Assembly Rules of Procedure 2018.
Elected from Provincial Assembly Constituency No. 2 (A) of Saptari district representing the Janamat Party, Singh said his resignation would take effect immediately.
