KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has announced that the list of candidates for the House of Representatives election on March 5 will be published today after 5 PM, following the investigation of filed complaints.

The verification process, which began at 3 PM yesterday, will conclude at 5 PM today, according to Information Officer and Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC.

Currently, authorities are investigating complaints against five candidates across four districts: one in Sunsari Constituency 2, one in Rautahat 1, two in Bhaktapur 2, and one in Kailali 1.

Investigations into these specific complaints are currently underway at the respective District Election Offices.

Following the publication of the list between 5 PM and 7 PM today, candidates may withdraw their names on Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The final list will be released between 1 PM and 3 PM that same day, with election symbols distributed from 4 PM to 7 PM.

GC further added that three major programs are scheduled tomorrow across 77 District Election offices and 88 Election Officer offices.

Total registrations include 3,089 men, 396 women, and one third-gender individual, totaling 3,487 nominees.
