KATHMANDU: The Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Development Partners Group met today, hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu, to review ongoing initiatives and set priorities for 2026, including potential impacts during Nepal’s upcoming election period.
The Ministry of Water Supply (MoWS) shared updates on current projects, while members highlighted groundwater management as a critical issue amid depleting resources.
Partners expressed strong commitment to advancing groundwater recharge planning and promoting sustainable water management through coordinated efforts.
The meeting also featured a lighthearted moment with the group’s mascot, Moomin, surprising attendees and lifting spirits.
