BAGLUNG: Minister for Health and Population Dr Sudha Gautam has said that health insurance needs to be organized to make medical treatment accessible to all citizens.

After inspecting Dhaulagiri Provincial Hospital, Baglung on Tuesday, she said that health insurance has made it easier for the general public with support from all sides concerned.

She also stressed that all three levels of government should invest to operate health insurance effectively. “The ordinary citizens have benefited greatly from this scheme, so it is necessary to manage it and give continuity,” she said.

Minister Gautam said that the government is continuously working to make health services accessible to all, with efforts to manage sufficient medicines, human resource and equipment in government-run health institutions.
