263rd Nepali Army Day observed in London

LONDON: Chief of Staff of the British Field Army, Major General Carl Boswell CBE, has lauded the Nepali Army as a world-renowned military institution.

As the chief guest at a special function organized on the occasion of the 263rd Nepali Army Day at the Nepali Embassy in London on Monday evening, Boswell said that the Nepali Army is a military institution with a proud history and a global reputation for excellence.

He further said that the Nepali Peacekeepers have earned worldwide praise for their discipline, compassion and the most complex tasks, making an extraordinary contribution to the UN peacekeeping mission.

At the event, Charge d’affaires at the Embassy, Bipin Duwadi recalled the glorious history of the Nepali Army and the significant achievements the army has achieved for the nation, and praised the leadership role played by the Nepali Army in various military activities since the establishment of the United Nations.

The event was attended by more than 100 people from various fields, including representatives of the Nepali Diaspora in the UK.
