KATHMANDU: Popular Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has offered free accommodation to travelers stranded in Dubai amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted flights across the region.

In a video message shared on Instagram on Thursday, Sood said anyone stranded in the city due to the crisis could stay at accommodations arranged by him, regardless of nationality. He urged those in need to contact him directly through the platform.

Flight cancellations linked to the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran have left many international passengers stranded at Dubai’s airports and other parts of the city.

Sood, known for roles in films such as Dabangg, Jodhaa Akbar, Happy New Year, and Simmba, has gained recognition for his humanitarian efforts.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he assisted migrant workers and students stranded abroad and arranged financial and medical aid for vulnerable communities in India.
