KATHMANDU: Balendra Shah (Balen), senior leader of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has submitted his election expense details to the Election Commission (EC) following his victory in the March 5 House of Representatives election.

According to the report, Shah spent Rs 1,417,289 during the election campaign.

Shah, who contested from Jhapa-5, defeated CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli to secure a seat in the House of Representatives. His submission of campaign expenses comes as part of the mandatory financial disclosure required by the Election Commission.
