Filming of Neer Shah-directed ‘Kamala Miss’ completed

KATHMANDU: Filming of the movie Kamala Miss, directed by senior artist and filmmaker Neer Bikram Shah, has been completed after a 23 day shooting schedule. The film had been shot at various locations in the capital since February 13.

Line producer Pushkar Lama, also known as Prem Bhomjan, said the filming concluded yesterday. Although production was halted for three days due to the elections, the team finished the shoot within the planned schedule.

The psychological drama features Shah himself alongside Ramesh Budhathoki, Basana Timilsina, Shivam Saraf Chhetri, Aarav Dahal, Bhawana Magar, Sushant Shrestha, Jayant Regmi, Suresh Thapa, Rajan KC and Sanjay Khatiwada.

The film is produced by Uma Malla for the Bijay Malla Smriti Pratishthan, with Umesh Malla and Chaitanya Pradhan serving as executive producers. The original screenplay was written by Bijay Malla, while the adapted screenplay and dialogues were jointly prepared by Shah and Prajal Dulal.

Cinematography is handled by Shivaram Shrestha, music by Yug Bhusal and choreography by Ramji Lamichhane. Production management is led by Bhola Subedi, with Sagar Bohara serving as chief assistant director.

The project marks Shah’s return to directing after a decade. He previously directed films such as Basudev, Pachhis Basanta, Rajamati, Basanti, Masaan and Seto Bagh. The film’s release date has not yet been announced.
