KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority announced scheduled power outages in several areas of Kathmandu on Saturday due to maintenance work on 11 kV distribution lines.

Electricity will be cut from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm in the Pepsicola and Town Planning areas to repair deteriorated poles and install new ones under feeders managed by the Baneshwor Distribution Center.

Power will also be interrupted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Mid Baneshwor, Old Baneshwor, and Battisputali areas.

The authority stated that the power supply will resume earlier if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule and apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers.
