NC Central Working Committee meeting begins, Gagan absent

KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) has begun. The party’s General Secretary Pradeep Paudel informed Nepal News that the meeting was held on Friday at the party’s central office in Sanpa, Lalitpur.

The meeting commenced under the chairmanship of Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma.

Party President Gagan Thapa is absent from today’s meeting, as he had resigned from his post taking moral responsibility for the party’s defeat in the House of Representatives elections. The meeting has begun with his chair left empty.

Vice President Sharma stated that the meeting will include a preliminary review of the election results, and a proposal to reject Thapa’s resignation will be presented.
