NRB fixes foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to NRB, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs. 148.07, while the selling rate has been fixed at Rs. 148.67.

Similarly, the euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs. 173.54 and a selling rate of Rs. 174.24. The UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs. 199.33 and a selling rate of Rs. 200.14, while the Swiss franc is valued at Rs. 187.63 for buying and Rs. 188.39 for selling.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar is set at Rs. 104.57 (buying) and Rs. 104.99 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs. 106.98 and Rs. 107.41, and the Singapore dollar at Rs. 116.23 and Rs. 116.70 respectively.

The Japanese yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of Rs. 9.30 and a selling rate of Rs. 9.33. The Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs. 21.69 for buying and Rs. 21.77 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs. 39.46 (buying) and Rs. 39.62 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs. 40.62 and Rs. 40.78.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is priced at Rs. 4.62 (buying) and Rs. 4.64 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs. 40.31 and Rs. 40.47, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs. 37.34 and Rs. 37.50. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is valued at Rs. 9.97 for buying and Rs. 10.01 for selling. Similarly, the Swedish krona is fixed at Rs. 15.98 and Rs. 16.05, while the Danish krone stands at Rs. 23.23 and Rs. 23.33.

The Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs. 18.91 (buying) and Rs. 18.98 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs. 483.26 and Rs. 485.22, the Bahraini dinar at Rs. 392.76 and Rs. 394.35, and the Omani riyal at Rs. 385.10 and Rs. 386.66.

Meanwhile, the Indian rupee (per 100 units) has been set at Rs. 160.00 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
