PARSA: The District Police Office arrested two individuals with narcotics today. Acting on a tip-off that drugs were being bought and sold in room number 118 of Jay Nepal Hotel, located at Rajatjayanti Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, the police apprehended the two suspects.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Chakra Bahadur Malla of the District Police Office, a joint police team mobilized from the Inaruwa Police Post and the Narcotics Control Bureau, Parsa, conducted a lawful search of the hotel room. During the search, they recovered 20 strips containing 200 tablets labeled with “NITCH-10” and two bottles of 100 mg liquid narcotics labeled with “ONREX.”

The police stated that the individuals involved in the drug distribution—52-year-old Uttam Kumar Pathak, a resident of Ratnanagar Municipality-6, Chitwan, and 35-year-old Osim Thakurai, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-2, Parsa—have been taken into custody along with the narcotics for further investigation.
