KAVREPALANCHOK: A total of 89 passengers were safely rescued after five microbuses got stranded in the Roshi River following a surge in water flow.
According to District Police Office, Kavre, a joint team from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force carried out the rescue operation, saving all passengers onboard the vehicles.
The incident occurred on Monday in Roshi Rural Municipality–9, between Laskot and Charsayabesi, where the vehicles were trapped between two channels of the river.
Police said that after prolonged efforts, both the passengers and vehicles were successfully rescued around 1:00 AM and sent onward to their destinations.
