KATHMANDU: Following the removal of informal settlements across different parts of Kathmandu, the process of collecting details of affected families has been intensified. So far, 3,111 families have registered their names at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar.
The Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee and the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority have been jointly gathering data since April 25. Separate desks have been set up on the western side of the stadium, where families are required to fill out forms and submit necessary information.
To address the basic needs of the affected citizens, various support services have also been put in place. Facilities for health check-ups, food arrangements, and issuance of national identity cards are available within the stadium.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is overseeing the overall management and coordination of these efforts.
