The governments of all seven provinces will announce their budgets for the next fiscal year 2078/79 today. The budgets will be announced today due to the constitutional provision which states that the provincial governments must announce their budget on Asadh 1 of the Nepali calendar.
The budget in
Province 1 and Bagmati Province will be announced at 3 pm. Similarly, Province 2,
Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province will announce their budgets at 4 pm. Meanwhile, Karnali Province will announce its budget at 1 pm.
Gandaki Province which made public its policies and programmes at the National Assembly only yesterday will also announce its budget today at 4 pm. Chief Minister of
Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali, will announce the budget himself.
